You can use Nippon clear spray paint or Dull/Clear Lacquer Spray to protect the spray paint from coming out

nice stock roy! are you gna import in? (: btw, my desert tan m4 is suffering from scratches and the paint is coming off..
not sure how to get one but i like it... battle scratches are fine. more realistic... maybe sandpaper(use the finest one) your M4 first before spraying or spray it with "primer" first...

Phoenix, I'm interested in how u get tat semi shine on the black metallic parts..... Is it the semi gloss Tamiya vanish? The weathering looks great! Reminds me of my rifle back in the army days.

Hummie you're right, I used semi-gloss varnish on the 'metal' bits and flat varnish on the 'plastic' bits - both Tamiya as per the description. I looked at a lot of pictures to see what real weathering looks like and I think I've been able to capture that a little.

Illusion, they are all of same length. The angle of the bullets probably make it look different.

Actually that's the "barrel" that you've cut out, would be accurate to leave it in it's original position...

Actually, yea, thats the barrel. the slider moves back away from the barrel so the cartridge can eject.
