That's not all.
BT's 2 owners and me were hauled for questioning by the cops.
Apparently, we got feedback by some "concerned" character of the guns being too real. Well, after some questions, the cops left us & all is well.
Unless there're ppl totally mentally incapable of comprehension.
Don't start your BB guns and your mighty secret arsenal to us......you will never know who is the cop off duty.....

What makes you think is him? Can be anyone. Besides no major issue and all is well. The cops left us alone after some Q&A.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loXWbSMToaUIf even NERF guns are being modded by irresponsible individuals for harmful purposes, I can safely say it will be a long way to bigger things, say, personal ownership of airsoft firearms. There will always be that bunch of troublemakers.. Some may argue why are we so strict compared to perhaps the US or Australia. I believe the main difference is that most owners in the US are socially responsible. They have homemade spud guns, actual firearms, paintball markers or airsoft guns, but they know how and when to use them properly. As for those who don't, the police have a license to kill. There was a case about a year back where a boy in the US, armed with an airsoft pistol, locked his classmate in a cupboard. His classmate called the police, and the boy was shot dead. The officer mistook his airsoft pistol as a real one because of the missing orange tip. In Australia, airsoft is BANNED in favour of paintball due to the historical rivalry between the two sports. Very recently in Germany, paintball and airsoft almost got banned because some bugger went on a shootout with a real gun. So everyone.. let's be responsible and not take forgranted what we are entitled to now.

Because, who claimed to be "ex-service" and has the connections to pull a stunt like that, esp after he posted up pics of an illegal airsoft gun in singapore here to hao lian and yaya, had it all backfire on him, got increasingly illogical and rude in his posts and was finally hounded off the forums with his tail between his legs? Watching his posts was like watching mental disorder degeneration in fast forward. JT: don't worry la, won't say is you, since you're just more whine than action one Crazynut: actually in USA, airsoft is quite strict too, in that they MUST have an orange tip, at least when they're sold to you. What you do with the tip after that is up to you, but it IS officially illegal to remove the orange tip. Also, they have the issue of copyright, which is why airsoft guns in USA OFFICIALLY cannot have the real steel trademarks on them. Also need to remember that laws regarding airsoft vary from state to state, and are not uniform nation-wide.

Still it is guesswork. I wouldn't be too cocksure of that's his handiwork. Because the cops didn't gave us any problem or difficulty. They just asked and we answered. That's that. They just left after that.

Of course. You guys did nothing wrong, but they'd still have to respond and carry out at least a cursory check if Guncraz go and complain right? Besides, the complaint was about some of your modified guns looking too real. Now, unless you've been waving your heavily modified guns around in the shop a lot, most of the pics of those guns were posted up here, and thus it stands to reason that whoever reported you probably used to visit these forums and isn't doing so anymore because he mucked up and is bitter about it. Yes its guesswork, but not without basis and rational deduction, even if JT doesn't actually stop to think for a moment about how logical it sounds and simply assumes its because guncraz was "against" me. All that serves to do is show how petty JT, if he has to make every small thing personal. Besides, I never said it was definately guncraz. I said "probably". Now you've all learnt english in school and are grown-ups, I am sure I do not need to give you the definition of "probably" and the context in which it is used in? Good.

Ohhh hello how come different nick? Anyways, airsoft in UK is not without legislation. They were considering banning it awhile back, but didn't because of the FINANCIAL impact that banning a fairly cash-intensive sport would have on the economy. It wasn't because they respected the rights of their citizens or anything high-minded. Sadly, as with everything in life, money talks, and if you have an airsoft industry that is significant enough in your economy, then it is unlikely to be banned outright unless something like what happened in Germany happened. Otherwise, like in Singapore, its probably going to be very hard to have it unbanned because there never was any significant commercial airsoft interests to begin with.
