Anyway, enough of mentioning their things here.
We are keeping our profiles low so as not attract attentions from their ilk.

Hey, inferiority complex is always drummed into us from young by our "dear" leaders.

Whereas superiority complex is always drummed into their sons.

Peasants (Us)= Inferior no matter what, non pedigree or something like that, incapable of doing anything but grovel at their boots.

Elites = Superior beyond measure, pedigree product of 2 Phd, MBA or Degree holders, can even rival Ivy League, capable of transplanting themselves from civil service to politics to private business without a hitch, only their "noble" goal of serving the people is stopping them from doing do so.

then there are those of us who break free and refuse to be oppressed, who break free and carve out our own destiny, who some jealous inferiors accuse of being unpatriotic Grin

Hm, i choose to stay even though its like shit here. I still view Singapore as my home, a home where its screwed up but still my home nonetheless. Idealistic it may be, but I do hope to change things.

In the words of "The Prince of Darkness" Robert Novak, who recently passed on,

"Always love your country but never trust your government"

And I strongly oppose the concept of "if you leave singapore, you are a quitter".

That is because you are sensible and not one of those "mindless loyalty!!!" idiots out there. I believe home is where you feel you belong, not where you are born. My home is London, even if I was born in Singapore. Singapore however, retains some ties with me, but it is not a place I would like to stay for long periods nor where I would like to start a family.

Random quote, quite meaningful and thought I'd share it...

Anyway, I agree that home is where the heart is... No point staying in this so called "home" where you just don't feel it.

So... just a quick recap, you can't bring your modified replica toy guns out into public unless its for events such as the upcoming EOY festival? And Even when you do bring them out for such an event, you must keep them concealed before reaching the event's premises?

Here comes a problem, what if the premise for the event is in a public area such as the National Library at Bugis? Can we bring out our toy replicas there?

Ps. For those that don't know, the End Of Year(EOY) festival is pretty much nearly the same as AFA except that its primarily for cosplayers.

That is why a lot of the realistic toy guns have a orange tip....
A suggestion, keep the orange tip if ur constantly bring ur gun out for events....

LOL, that problem is easy to fix.

Actually today got a kid come in near opening time, want to buy a rifle and play and wanted me to sell a modified display gun to play with in public. I told him NO he can't do that, then he tried to play punk and said he had better airsoft guns at home.

Big mistake.

One of the other customer there was an officer (off duty). (Was at the shop buying a bag/pouch for use)

Poor thing. A search warrant and his particulars was taken down. Probably lost all his airsoft guns.

Never see that kid before... first timer and blur as hell I'll bet about laws here in Singapore.
The funny thing is, some people have those spring action bb gun and think they are Airsoft, although spring action bb guns are illegal also, they got into a big trouble for mistaking what type of guns it is. Act punk and got arrested. It is again still better to keep illegal things to our self.

I believe most of you guys who mod don't even take it out beyond your own home and it should stay that way (unless u go cosplay). If you buy off the rack somewhere else and want to check it go hide in a toilet cubicle and take a look in private or check on the spot when you buy at BT.

We are only legal to carry our modded weapons during a cosplay? Wow, when is the next one? Sorry, i have not been to a cosplay, seen a cosplay so i do not know what goes on.

Dude, there is NOTHING illegal.
Except the fact that there are ignoramuses ( I am sure there are still ppl who criticized cosplayers)  who are scared of anything that is not ordinary.

There have been cases of the cops being called for "there are gun toting people" in the XXX area. The cops came then saw this: Models with toy rep guns promoting FPS game. The Cop turned around and scold/warned the person who "act smart" (thinking will get a good citizen award") for lodging a false report.

The cops have better things to do than to respond such nonsense, so they advised ppl to cover their toy rep guns , only at the event place then reveal for use.

BT supply legal toy rep guns, comes with authourities approval.
Unless any cosplayer (which many viewed as very level headed, in fact more than a heartland peasant who can be scared of anything) wanna go around saying "I 've REAL ONE".

Most wouldn't do that. Unless this Cosplayer is NOOB and super despo attention seeker which again I do not think so.
They IHMO are the among the more level headed, think hard bunch of people I know. They know that life is short, enjoy hard and make the best of the things here instead whining like their lives and existence is a torture to themselves.

BT has been thru WCG, Cosfest, TGX and AFA with the Toy Rep guns.
That settles a lot of questions asked.
