This is a new thread to show some works in progress (and finished guns) being done by your Aussie bros/sis!

We're looking for your comments and suggestions for improvement, so let's stay on-topic. Also remember that a WIP is not the finished article and will often have un-glued pieces just sitting next to each other to give an idea of the finished project!

To start off here's an update on my M4 sniper:

I had just enough sunshine this weekend to paint my SPR forend and I've attached the metal rails and bipod. I really wanted a SOCOM stock but couldn't find one so I'm using this instead - believe it or not it's actually off a Nerf Raider and, with a little 'cleaning up' I think it will look pretty good!

Still to come are some Magpul folding sights and ladder-style rail covers. The receiver in the photos is from my KA-M4 so I'll need another M4 eventually to finish this... I'm going to paint this in desert camo eventually, and I'll post more pics when there has been meaningful progress.

Yes, but that's just because it's a WIP and hasn't been painted yet...  haha

Thx guys.

Here's the 'alter ego', my KA-M4 - it's a real mix-n-max setup until I get another M4.  Smiley

I can't wait for more decent weather so that I can paint the sniper barrel and silencer (and finally get rid of that red cap), as well as the receiver...  nooo

Haha, I saw it on an old post of Skeg-man's M14 EBR and I thought it could look good - lucky for me he wanted to change it anyway so a deal was done.  Cheesy

It was cheap, looks great and was all I could get!  Cheesy  I like the look of the SCAR buttstock but it seems too tall to fit the back of an M4...  Sad

M4 Sniper, creative genius.. Really like how you've adapted your receiver to suite different configs.

Just a minor refinement to my 'M204', I've replaced the sights with foldable ones and added an ACOG:

What do you think?

Looks good, but where do the rounds feed in? I mean the rifle rounds.

A good question Bravo20, I could add a box magazine on the LHS of the receiver, or suggest that there's a magazine tube that runs through the buttstock... Either way it doesn't really matter - it's just something I made up because i thought it looked OK.  Grin

I got these from a fancy dress costume supplier, they're not bad.  Smiley

I picked up a cheap AK locally so now I have two - I'm still building an AK sniper but with the second one I want to do something like a CQB version, short, ugly and mean. Here's just an idea:

Folding foregrip, laser, flash hider / silencer, double-mags, big iron sights and no stock (maybe a folding one?). I'm not crazy about the sights, might try an Eotech?

Any ideas?
