This isn't so much of WIP but more of a re-cap. hahaha.

AUG A3

HK416

and M4 S-System CQB

I've gotta spray over the stickers with a matt clear to get rid of the shine... unless anyone else has any ideas?

Cheers

That Steyr looks funny. Not to run you down, of course. Just a personal feeling. Smiley

I started the camo paint job for my sniper today. I've never tried desert or camo colours but here's how it came out:

I wanted a dirty, used look but not too extreme because a sniper rifle would be well looked after. I've also added some weathering to the bipod and rails and partially painted the sights. The barrel is dark earth with a wash of desert sand literally rubbed over the top. I'm going to paint the scope in the same scheme when my extension tube shows up. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out.  Tongue

Hoping to have the receiver ready to paint in the next day or so then I can assemble it all - if the weather holds out...

Thanks guys!  Yeah Skeg, I actually used the flexible plastic 'chicken wire' stuff from around an LPG gas bottle - it was just the right size for this application.

Thanks Bravo! I did some more today then came disaster:

I ran out of Sand paint! Got half my scope done, complete with extension tube. I'll finish it tomorrow (got more paint late today). Also painted the receiver and did some weathering...just need to paint the grip and varnish the lot now - getting close!

AUG A3
Maybe you should remove the selector switch on the cheekpiece... AUGs don't have that...
